You don't live in Durham, or you do and you'd rather not sit in a waiting room in your own town for this particular conversation. Both are fine reasons. I work with men and couples over video across the US, and it's the same work — same structure, same practices, same directness.
I'm Tobias Jackson, a sex and intimacy coach based in Durham, North Carolina.
Whether this works over video
It works better than people expect, and the reason is worth understanding. Almost none of this work happens in the room. I'm not doing anything to you physically — I never do, in person either. What happens in a session is that you get clear on something, and then you go practice it in your actual life, with your actual partner, in your own house. The practice was always going to happen at home. Video just removes the drive.
There's one real trade-off: I read a lot from your body, and a screen gives me less. So online sessions lean harder on me asking and you noticing out loud. Some men find that better — it's harder to hide behind a nod.
What we work on
The same four: embodiment, empathy, eroticism, exploration. Getting you back into your body. Building the capacity to stay present when your partner says something hard. Developing a relationship with your own desire that doesn't hang on your partner's yes. Then trying things on purpose.
Whether you come alone or as a couple, the men's work and the couples work run the same way online.
Logistics
Sessions are over [PLATFORM], [SESSION LENGTH], [PRICE]. Free thirty-minute discovery call first. You need a private room and a door that closes — that's the real requirement. Sessions where you're worried about being overheard don't go anywhere.
I hold hours in Eastern time and can usually accommodate other US time zones. [HOURS DETAIL]
Coaching, not therapy. Same as in person: I don't diagnose or treat, and if what you're carrying needs clinical care I'll tell you and point you somewhere.
Questions about online work
Is it confidential?
Yes. Sessions aren't recorded. [PLATFORM] is the only place they exist and they exist nowhere after.
Can my partner join from a different location?
Yes, though I'd rather you're in the same room when you can be. Some of the practice is physical proximity.
